Omar holds a Masters Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering in the “analysis and design of structures for hazards” from City University in London.  Omar is a consulting engineer and has worked for many years between Europe and the Caribbean. He is currently the Regional Chairman of the Caribbean Regional Group of the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Omar is Executive Chairman of Pavana Energy Ltd.  which was founded in 2012 in anticipation of the 2013 ELPA (Electric Light and Power Act) brought in by the Government of Barbados to promote the development of renewable energy.

In his role as an engineer, Omar has travelled to many disaster zones after hurricane events in the Caribbean, and this fuelled his passion to work with Pavana Energy to develop climate resilient renewable energy projects and influenced the vision that has been set out for Pavana Energy.  These solutions best serve the environments of small island developing states like Barbados helping them to be more climate resilient as well as freeing them from their dependency on imported carbon emitting oil.         Back to Top

Donnie holds a Diploma in Architectural Technology and Construction Management from SJPP and studied Project Management at CSB&M.   

Donnie’s work experience spans over 23 years and has worked on numerous projects across Barbados and the Caribbean and in 2004 he founded Architectural Perspectives Inc. offering technical services to Architect and Engineering firms.

Donnie is the Chief Executive Officer of Pavana Energy Ltd and his passion for finding solutions to making Caribbean islands more autonomous were instrumental in forming the vision of the Company.

His exemplary work ethic, attention to detail and ability to quickly adapt to fluid situations make him a great asset to the company.         Back to Top

Lisa is the Executive Administrator at Pavana Energy Ltd. and is versatile in her role having displayed great organizational skills and extensive knowledge of office policies and procedures.  Lisa is in the process of implementing a quality management system to mirror an ISO 9001 type standard to make Pavana Energy Ltd. run seamlessly in every department from Accounting to Human Resource Management.

Lisa is an accomplished Executive Assistant with strong communication skills and planning abilities which she acquired over 25 years and is always enthusiastic, committed and professional.         Back to Top
