Bridgetown, Barbados, March 6th, 2023 – Pavana Energy Ltd., a renewable energy company, pioneering the climate resilient development of clean energy projects in the Caribbean, announce their first operational wind farm at Ashford Dairy in Barbados.

After more than a decade of research and development, the first wind farm in the Barbados has been commissioned and is connected to the National Grid.

The four 250kWh turbines have a combined plated capacity of 1Mw.  The wind farm is expected to produce 2.5 Gwh of energy annually.  To put this into context, this can power about 1,400 homes for a year, according to Omar Allahar, Executive Chairman of Pavana Energy.

Pavana Energy are now focused on completing further hybrid Wind, Solar and Storage projects helping to move Barbados closer to achieving it’s 2030 100% renewable energy target.
